Remember how we said our calculations were super fast? This week we found a way to shave another 95% (!) off the calculation time. NOW they're fast.
What does that mean to you as a user?
Well, it means we are able to shift another bunch of calculations from the "click-this-button-to-recalculate-everything-in-a-few-seconds"-pile to the "we're-gonna-update-this-automatically-every-time-you-change-something"-pile, for an even smoother prototyping experience in Preliminary Well Design.
Here's a screenshot of our Operations view, which will hold all relevant information, and the results of the calculations we have done for this operation.
From left: Geology, Wellpath, Casing design, Hookload, Tension with buckling- and tension limits, External and Internal pressures along the entire drillstring, and a summary of all the Risks we have checked that are relevant to this operation. A red dot means you have exceeded a limit, and our WellBot Kelly has suggestions on how to get back into safe territory.
Tomorrow: Design envelopes
